چکیده

In this paper, we consider a block Jacobi preconditioner and various deflation techniques applied in the Deflated Preconditioned Conjugate Gradient (DPCG) method for solving sparse system of linear equations derived from statistical mixed model that analyses simultaneously phenotypic pedigree information genotyped ungenotyped animals with Single Polymorphism Nucleotide genotypes animals. livestock production systems, evaluating genetic merit through such is key process to ensure an improvement some characteristics interest at each generation. First, propose define vectors using subdomain approach considers biological properties genotypes. Using simulated data, reduces number iterations by up 87% comparison preconditioner. Furthermore, compared DPCG same subdomains but defined randomly, 20% computational costs one iteration. The resulting systems show annihilates largest eigenvalues preconditioned coefficient matrix. Second, use solution 12 include between 0.25% 3% less as vectors. For reducing costs, also Proper Orthogonal Decomposition-reduced set these recycling smallest matrix, results reduction 39% PCG method. Finally, based on our experiment, combination relying POD-based recycle previous vectors, defining annihilating both eigenvalues, 88 %

Deflation Techniques for Finding Distinct Solutions of Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations

Nonlinear systems of partial differential equations (PDEs) may permit several distinct solutions. The typical current approach to finding distinct solutions is to start Newton’s method with many different initial guesses, hoping to find starting points that lie in different basins of attraction. In this paper, we present an infinite-dimensional deflation algorithm for systematically modifying t...

Mixed physical modeling techniques applied to speech production

The Kelly-Lochbaum transmission-line model of the vocal tract started the discrete-time modeling of speech production. More recently similar techniques have been developed in computer music towards a more generalized methodology. In this paper we will study the application of mixed physical modeling to speech production and speech synthesis. These approaches are Digital Waveguides (DWG), Finite...

Efficient Deflation Methods Applied to 3-d Bubbly Flow Problems

Abstract. For various applications, it is well-known that deflated ICCG is an efficient method to solve linear systems with an invertible coefficient matrix. Tang and Vuik [J. Comput. Appl. Math., 206 (2007), pp. 603– 614] proposed two equivalent variants of this deflated method, which can also solve linear systems with singular coefficient matrices that arise from the discretization of the Poi...

Mixed Gates: Leakage Reduction techniques applied to Switches for on-chip Networks

The power dissipation due to leakage currents increases dramatically and endangers various aspects of current and future integrated circuits. However, the issue is recognized and several proposals have already been made to cope with this. Unfortunately, leakage reduction is often traded off for performance. Therefore, an enhanced Dual Vth / Dual Tox CMOS approach is presented, which achieves an...
